In recent months, there’s been a lot of talk about Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis running for president in the 2024 election. Many conservatives have expressed support for such a run, especially as DeSantis’ profile increases in Republican politics.
DeSantis’ time as a congress member and a governor could very well pave a path that winds up with him as president. However, the governor of Florida has remained busy with delivering for the residents of the Sunshine State.
Earlier this week, DeSantis was asked by the media regarding talk about him planning to run for the White House in the 2024 presidential election. As Townhall documents, the Florida governor delivered a very concise answer to this question.
DeSantis on a 2024 Run for the White House
During a press conference yesterday, DeSantis described the talk of him planning to run for the White House in 2024 as “purely manufactured.” The Florida Republican governor moreover declared that he does his job in Florida and makes it a point to work hard.

Later, DeSantis explained that he doesn’t know what to say to the aforementioned rumors, branding them as “nonsense.” During these remarks, DeSantis also noted the extent to which Florida has led on a variety of issues, including monoclonal antibody treatments for COVID.
Before concluding his remarks about a rumored 2024 presidential run, DeSantis explained that helping Florida residents is what he’s focused on right now.
Florida Under DeSantis’ Leadership
At this time, it’s no wonder that many conservatives are supportive of DeSantis making a run for the Oval Office during the next presidential election season. Right now, Florida is one of the freest, open states.
Despite consistent hit jobs from the leftist media, Florida’s economy hasn’t slowed down whatsoever. Tourism is booming in the Sunshine State; meanwhile, thousands of people per day are choosing to move to Florida.

This, in and of itself, speaks volumes about the quality of DeSantis’ leadership. Therefore, some conservatives are of the view that having the Florida governor’s leadership at the national, federal level would do a lot of good for the United States.
In 2022, DeSantis will face a re-election campaign as the Florida governor. Right now, polls have shown that DeSantis is leading against all the Democrats looking to challenge him and take his job.
Moreover, conservative activists are on the ground in the Sunshine State and working to ensure that the Florida gubernatorial election ends with DeSantis getting another term.
