Nancy Pelosi Threatened Democracy in Unearthed Video of Her Trying to Stop Electors From Voting for Bush

(ThePatriotWire) – There was a time when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) believed it was appropriate and patriotic to challenge the Electoral College. After the 2020 presidential election, she took a different stance after Republicans questioned if there was election fraud and massive irregularities. They voted against certifying Joe Biden as the election winner to gain more time to alleviate any concerns that Biden wasn’t legitimately elected. For that, Pelosi wrongly accused Republicans of stoking insurrection.

Yet, in 2005, Pelosi objected to Ohio’s electoral votes when ballots were presented for then-President George W. Bush. She claimed that voting against certifying the Electoral College vote in Ohio was paramount to democracy at work. She alleged that disenfranchised voters deserved the opportunity for debate and that the electoral process was the appropriate place for it to happen.

Pelosi added that the voters in that election needed confidence that every vote was legally cast and counted accurately. She objected to potential voting machine irregularities that could have led to a lack of trust on the part of the public. To complicate matters more, the then-future Speaker said it wasn’t about a conspiracy. Instead, it was about the Constitution.

Does this sound familiar? Strangely, what’s good for the goose isn’t good for the gander.
