Panicked Democrats Meet with Obama as Midterms Approach

(ThePatriotWire) – With failures popping up seemingly every month, the first year of Joe Biden’s presidency wasn’t good. His approval ratings show Americans aren’t ignoring it. Democrats know this is weighing heavily on them as they try to cling to power in the upcoming midterm elections. To help boost morale, they’ve called in a former leader.

On February 10, former President Barack Obama spoke at a virtual House Democratic Caucus meeting. According to sources, Obama told the group to focus their efforts on their successes over the past year and stop worrying about the setbacks.

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) set up the appearance by the former president. The keynote discussion also involved Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). The goal of the meeting was to revive the Democrats’ messaging for the upcoming election.

Sources say Obama focused on pushing the idea of not complaining about the losses and touting the wins. He said to let go of the past and look ahead to the possibilities. He likely was referring to the demise of the Build Back Better Act, which was a huge disappointment for many on the Left and led to a lot of public whining. The former president made sure to point out there is no use rehashing something they cannot change.

The current outlook is very favorable to Republicans, who could potentially win back both the House and the Senate. Could a pep talk from Obama give Democrats what they need to get on the right path for November?
