Trump Is Rising, Tied With Biden In New Poll

(ThePatriotWire)- A new survey published on Wednesday shows a tie between two potential contenders for the presidency in 2024.

When questioned, “In a general election campaign between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, who would you prefer?” Forty-seven percent of respondents said they favored the Democrat and 53 percent said they preferred the Republican.

According to the survey, it is a “statistical dead heat,” with a margin of error of 4.5 percent.

The CEO of the data firm Premise, Maury Blackman, revealed the poll’s findings in an episode of his podcast, Great Minds Think Data.

Early in his first term, 79-year-old Biden declared his intention to compete alongside Vice President Kamala Harris for reelection in the 2024 election.

In a December interview, when asked if he would run for office again, Biden said yes, but he also respects fate. Numerous times in his life, fate has intervened. He would run if his health were as “excellent as it is presently.”

Although he has not formally announced his campaign, Trump, 76, started making references to a third run for the White House as soon as he moved out. His fundraising efforts have come under fire as he continues to raise the possibility of running in 2024.

In his mind, he had already decided to run. He went on to say that the real question was not whether he would run but rather whether he would declare it before or after this year’s midterm elections in November.

In an interview with New York, he remarked, “I would say my main choice would be whether I go before or after.” “You know what it implies, right?”

The results of the Premise Poll, which suggest that Trump may have an advantage, are based on responses from 635 individuals in the United States who are 18 years old or older. Premise stated that they were asked a set of questions, and their answers were gathered on July 15 and 16.

Trump will be 78 years old, and Biden will be a few weeks away from becoming 82 on election day in 2024.

When questioned about a two-year rematch, Biden replied, “You’re trying to tempt me now. Sure, why wouldn’t I challenge Donald Trump if he wins the nomination?”

Biden said that would make his running more likely.
