Trump Pulls Down New Communications Platform

by admin

Nearly six months ago, social media platforms carried out a mass censorship campaign against then-President Trump. Sites like Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook deemed that Trump bore responsibility for the incidents that took place at the Capitol on January 6.

As a result of big tech’s mass blacklisting, Trump has found more creative ways of communicating with his supporters. The former president is active on Gab; he also regularly puts out press releases to convey his stances on various events happening in the nation.

A few weeks ago, Trump set up a communications platform known as “the desk of Donald J. Trump.” However, the former president has since pulled down this blog, as confirmed by Townhall

The Desk of Donald J. Trump…Gone

This week, Americans learned that Trump’s communications platform is shut down for good. A link to what was once the page now just shows a “not found” notice on Trump’s website.

Many conservatives and Trump supporters who signed up to receive updates from the communications platform were disappointed to learn of its demise; however, the news is not all bad. On Wednesday, senior Trump aide Jason Miller spoke to CNBC about the removal of the former president’s blog.

According to Miller, the shutdown of The Desk of Donald J. Trump is merely a stepping stone to “broader efforts” the former president is making regarding social media in general. This appears connected to reports stemming months back about Trump’s plan to start his own website.

Miller on Twitter also confirmed that Trump’s communications platform will not return at any time; although, he also urged the former president’s fans to “stay tuned” for updates regarding Trump joining another social media platform.

What’s Next for Trump?

The removal of Trump’s blog is far from the last of the 45th president. Less than 48 hours ago, the former president put out a statement regarding Biden’s miscalculated decision to end the Remain in Mexico policy.

Trump explained that Remain in Mexico ultimately protected the Southern border, fortified the U.S. immigration system, and marked a victory for foreign policy. However, with the downfall of Remain in Mexico comes a mass influx of drugs, illegal immigrants, and gangs.

The former president furthermore slammed Biden for housing illegal immigrants in hotels at the expense of American taxpayers; Trump warned in his public statement that this, along with other measures taken by Biden, is ruining American and overwhelming local communities.

Finally, the approach of midterm elections, governors races, and more are additional avenues where Americans can expect to hear from Trump. Earlier this week, the former president endorsed the re-election of Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
