Whitmer Shows Discussions she had with Biden about Linking his Group

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer revealed new information Tuesday about the vetting procedure she engaged in over the summer for a candidate to possibly become President-elect Joe Biden’s running partner.

In a meeting with POLITICO’s Girls Rule, Whitmer stated she was”really surprised” when Biden, then the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee,”asked and asked me to proceed through the procedure.”

“I believed I was going to be on the committee to assist him a candidate, not that I’d be somebody moving through the vetting,” Whitmer said.

“When there was any function that I could play to help him get elected, I believe this election was {} . Though I have never aspired to visiting Washington, D.C., I had been ready to experience the procedure as he inquired.”

Whitmer was allegedly among a few finalists to be considered for the part of Biden’s running partner, combined with California Sen. Kamala Harris, former national security advisor Susan Rice and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
