(ThePatriotWire)- According to the findings of an investigation, Democrat Representative Judy Chu of California was promoted to a position of authority within what is believed to be a front organization for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 2019.
Chu was appointed honorary chairwoman of the organization Forums for Peaceful Reunification of China, a group that advocates for China’s reunification and opposes Taiwan’s independence. According to the United States-China Economic Security and Review Commission (USCC), the organization in question is an intelligence service for the CCP.
During the 34th inauguration ceremony of the organization’s executive committee, which took place on August 23, 2019, at the Capital Seafood restaurant in Monterey Park, Chu was bestowed the title of honorary chairwoman by the Forums for Peaceful Reunification of China. This honor was bestowed upon Chu by the Forums for Peaceful Reunification of China.
Former National Security Agency Chinese language analyst Steve Yates told the Daily Caller that anyone with a fundamental understanding of the Chinese language, China-Taiwan relations, and the politics of related affinity groups in the United States would easily see similarities between the problematic United Front organization identified by the USCC and its southern California chapter.
Rep. Chu isn’t the only Congressmember with alleged CCP ties.
According to a report from 2020, Swalwell was the target of a political intelligence operation between 2011 and 2015 by a Chinese female spy known as Christine Fang, or Fang Fang.
Axios claims that Fang first met Swalwell when she was a Chinese student activist, and he was a councilman for the Dublin City Council in California. She became a campaign bundler for him and placed at least one intern in one of his congressional offices.
According to Axios, Swalwell was briefed by the FBI about Fang in 2015; as a result, he allegedly severed contact with her, and she quietly returned to China.
According to reports, a purported Chinese government agent was Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) staff member in San Francisco. He acted as the senator’s driver, liaison to the Asian-American community, and stand-in at events hosted by the Chinese consulate. He gave Chinese consulate officials access to non-classified political intelligence.
