(ThePatriotWire)- Drama queen Juan Williams penned another near-hysterical opinion piece about abortion in The Hill last week, this time setting his hair on fire over the possibility that the US Supreme Court might overturn Roe v. Wade.
Or, as Juan puts it “completely end constitutional protection for all abortion rights.”
“Constitutional protection” is certainly one way to describe “inventing a constitutional right to abortion where none exists.”
Poor Juan believes that overturning Roe v. Wade will unleash a disaster for the country because by doing so, the Supreme Court will throw the lawbooks “out the window.”
It was the Roe v. Wade decision that did that, Juan.
His column is jammed with the usual claims Democrats make about Republicans “stealing” the Supreme Court. He brings up the Merrick Garland chestnut and whines that six of the nine justices were appointed by Republicans.
Yes, well, that’s how it shook out. Sorry that makes you mad, Juan.
Like the rest of the pro-abortion Democrats, Juan provides the misleading polling that shows the majority of Americans want Roe v. Wade to remain in place.
But those polls are hard to take seriously.
Thanks to the media and the Democrat Party, most Americans assume that overturning Roe v. Wade would instantly make abortion illegal nationwide. This isn’t at all the case.
Instead, overturning Roe v. Wade simply allows each state to determine its abortion law. And nearly three quarters of the American people support placing restrictions on abortion. With Roe v. Wade in place, there can be no restrictions on abortion.
If polling outfits presented this issue honestly, it is doubtful the majority of Americans would support keeping Roe v. Wade in place.
Juan Williams conveniently omits the polling that shows less than 18 percent of Americans support abortion through all nine months of pregnancy. And you can understand why. If he acknowledged that the Democrat Party’s position was only supported by less than 18 percent support of voters, it would blow a hole in his righteous indignation.
Williams closes his melodramatic column by offering a personal appeal to Chief Justice John Roberts, begging him to “save the country” from the justices who want the Court to be “just another extremist political power.”
