(ThePatriotWire)- The same US Attorney’s office that is doggedly pursuing charges against people who trespassed on the US Capitol on January 6 will not be pursuing charges against a Democrat House staffer who repeatedly vandalized posters hanging outside of Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Capitol complex office.
Back in March, US Capitol Police asked federal prosecutors for an arrest warrant for Timothy Duane Hysom, chief of staff to Massachusetts freshman Democrat Congressman Jake Auchincloss, after Hysom was captured on surveillance footage defacing seven posters outside of Greene’s Longworth Congressional Office Building between January and March.
At the time, Hysom was offered a “non-custodial interview” which he declined. Instead, he “retained counsel.” In its request for an arrest warrant, the US Capitol Police said Hysom violated DC Code § 22–3312.01 Defacing Public or Private Property.
But on Monday, Just the News reported that the US Attorney’s office declined to approve the arrest warrant, so the Democrat chief of staff will get away scot-free while Jan 6 defendants charged with the same crime are getting the book thrown at them.
On Tuesday, Congresswoman Greene blasted the Justice Department for its “two-tiered justice system.”
Speaking from the House floor, Greene said the Capitol Police had determined that Tim Hysom had violated the law. She said Hysom has been consistently harassing her through vandalism, adding that he should know better because he isn’t a “low-level staffer” or intern, but the chief of staff for a member of Congress.
Even so, Greene said, the Department of Justice is refusing to prosecute Hysom despite the evidence, calling it “another example of the two-tiered justice system that we are living under” thanks to the Biden DOJ and Democrat leadership.
This probably won’t come as a shock, but Timothy Duane Hysom used to be the chief of staff for California Democrat Adam Schiff.
On Tuesday, Congresswoman Greene tweeted a clip from the surveillance video showing Hysom defacing the posters outside of her office. In her tweet, Greene accused the Biden Justice Department of refusing “to protect half the country.”
