(ThePatriotWire)- Kari Lake’s campaign headquarters in Arizona closed due to receiving threatening letters containing two envelopes containing white powder.
White powder in two envelopes and “threatening” inscriptions were left at Kari Lake’s campaign offices in Phoenix on Saturday night, prompting the FBI to launch an investigation into what the Lake campaign is calling a “terrorist attack” against the Republican candidate for governor of Arizona.
Police were at Lake’s offices for seven hours between 10 p.m. on Saturday and 5 a.m. on Sunday in what her campaign describes as a “terrorist attack, seeking to intimidate Kari and the campaign crew.”
A person with knowledge of the campaign said that yesterday, one of Kari’s aides opened up mail with a suspicious-looking white powder inside, and there was a note inside with a bunch of vulgarities and ranting and raving about Kari.
Senior editor at HumanEvents.com and former Navy intelligence officer Jack Posobiec visited Lake’s offices on Sunday while they were closed and posted a video update of the situation.
According to Posobiec, one employee is currently under medical monitoring, and the rest of the workforce is being examined to ensure they are healthy and don’t exhibit any symptoms.
This office is currently closed and may remain closed for the remainder of the year, not just the current campaign.
“Recently, we’ve witnessed shots fired at a Republican candidate’s family while his kids slept. We’ve seen this attack happen against Kari Lake,” Posobiec continued, pleading with Arizona’s Republican governor Doug Ducey to “immediately” put together a security team for Lake.
According to Sgt. Phil Krynsky of the Phoenix Police Department, who is leading the investigation, “Officers responded to a found property complaint at an office building at 40th Street and Camelback Road. When the police came, they discovered that the mail contained suspicious things. To gather the artifacts and protect the region, more resources arrived. No injuries have been reported, and the inquiry is still ongoing.”
Ironically, last Tuesday saw a break-in at Hobbs’ campaign offices in Phoenix. At first, Hobbs speculated that Lake’s campaign and rhetoric might be to blame.
Lake referred to it as “Jussie Smollett Part Two,” implying that Hobbs was exaggerating or possibly fabricating the incident to draw attention away from the razor-thin poll margins.
It was revealed that Daniel Mota Dos, a 36-year-old illegal alien from Portugal, was the suspect.
