(ThePatriotWire)- Kamala Harris’ husband got on President Joe Biden’s nerves after it was discovered that he was complaining about his wife’s policy assignments, according to Washington Examiner. The complaints reportedly fueled questions inside the president’s inner circle.
“Biden was annoyed” upon hearing that second gentleman Doug Emhoff had things to say about Harris’ assignments, according to a new book by Chris Whipple obtained by West Wing Playbook.
A friend of the president reportedly said that Biden called Harris a “work in progress.”
Harris’ performance is under scrutiny not only from the president but from others in the administration. A senior White House adviser reportedly expressed concern that the vice president’s inner circle has not been serving her well—not while she was on the campaign trail and not while she is in office.
The vice president has reportedly denied answering questions about her “turmoil and morale problems” surrounding her staff, which has been an issue since Harris was California’s attorney general.
Earlier this year, Harris was assigned to solve the “root crises of immigration,” but has not yet been to the southern border, despite numerous reports of illegal immigration spiraling out of control.
When asked about visiting the border, Harris cackled and said that she has also not been to Europe, the outlet reported.
“We’re going to the border. We’ve been to the border,” Harris told NBC News’s Lester Holt in an interview, adding that she has also not visited the border herself.
With Title 42 reportedly ending soon, migrants are heading toward Texas hoping to be released into the United States. 1000 Venezuelan immigrants recently showed up in El Paso, with one source saying they will likely be released, according to American Pigeon.
Title 42 is being debated on the Senate floor as Republicans are trying to include the Trump-era policy in the recent $1.7 trillion, 4,155-page spending bill.
