With the 2022 congressional midterms now firmly behind us, it’s time to start focusing on our next big election cycle. As you well know, that means the presidential contest of 2024.

For Republicans, that means discussing the merits of former and quite possibly our next President Donald Trump, as he has officially announced that he will be running for the Oval Office again, and those of a few highly respected GOP members such as Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis. While DeSantis hasn’t made any such announcement, he’s long been seen as a possible runner for the highest office in the land due to extreme favorability throughout the nation.

There are, of course, a few others who will no doubt throw their hat in the ring and quite possibly make a good go of it.

However, the same cannot likely be said of nearly anyone the political left has offered up yet.

As you know from his multiple comments about 2024, sitting and utterly despised President Joe Biden does, in fact, plan to run for re-election. However, as you probably know, he’s not likely to get very far.

For starters, he just turned 80 years old and is definitely showing it. Secondly, his disapproval rating, nationwide and even among his own party members, is about as bad as it can be.
According to recent pollings, some 54 of America don’t like what he’s done thus far in his tenure. And only a mere 39 percent of Democrats think he should run again.

Now, it’s worth noting that those 39 percent partly think that because 1) Trump has announced another presidential run, and 2) there’s really no one else on the Democratic side of the aisle to take his place.

Oh, sure, there are younger individuals, those who might have a better grasp on rationality. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they firmly understand reality at present.

Take Vice President Kamala Harris, for example. Thanks to both her despicable tenure thus far and her lack of seeing what the nation actually needs, there is practically no one who appreciates the word “vice” being dropped from her title.

Neither do people seem all that eager to see possible contenders like Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar, Pete Buttigieg, Bernie Sanders, or Gavin Newsom take the nomination.

After all, no one wants to see America become more like Newsom’s California.

There’s really only one possible candidate the Dems have mentioned of late that seems to have both the approval ratings necessary and checks enough boxes. The only problem is that 1) she isn’t qualified, and 2) she doesn’t want the job.

Now, some would say that someone who doesn’t really want such a seat of power is exactly the kind of person who should have it, as they won’t be seeking their own selfish ambitions. However, in this case, I would have to disagree.

Well, because, as the title of this piece implies, that woman is former First Lady Michelle Obama.

As you can imagine, Mrs. Obama is still quite beloved among the Democrats. And seeing as how she is one of the few not to actually have had a political background, she’s not been able to screw things in that arena up too badly.

Besides, she’s a woman, one of color, hates the police, has no problem taking taxpayer funds, and is a bully. I mean, what more could you want in a president?

But, much to the Democrats’ chagrin, she’s made it abundantly clear that she wants nothing to do with gaining the highest office in the United States.

While speaking with British reporter Naga Munchetty recently, she actually admitted that being asked if she was going to run for president, for either 2024 or anytime in the future, was the question she absolutely hates most.

And when Munchetty asked her to answer that very question, she didn’t hesitate or stutter. Instead, she quickly and quite simply said, “No, I’m not going to run.”
Well, that answers that…

That silence you hear at present is the Democratic collective now trying to wrack their brains for another candidate who might possibly have enough panache and favorability to make a go of a 2024 run. You’ll be hearing it for a while – because, as I’ve already established, there just isn’t much out there on the Democratic side anymore. If there ever really was.
