The single biggest news story of the past century broke last week. You’d think more people in the mainstream media would be talking about it, but they’ve been deathly quiet. Tucker Carlson announced the other night that a person with direct access to the hidden, classified files on John F. Kennedy, confirmed to him that the Central Intelligence Agency played a role in the assassination. To be clear: This is the biggest news story of any of our lifetimes, and the entire media simply shrugged and ignored it.
The impetus for Carlson even talking about the assassination of an American president 59 years ago this year was last week’s release of thousands of new documents from the JFK assassination files. It’s been decades since everyone involved in the assassination, the investigations, and the coverup died. But the CIA is still withholding thousands of pages of documents after all these years. Congress passed a law in the 1990s forcing the government to release all the files by 2017. Here we are five years later, and we still aren’t allowed to see them.
Carlson’s thinking on the matter is pretty straightforward: Is there a benign reason why the CIA would do this? Probably not.
So, Carlson called a source who sounds like they may have been a CIA archivist. He plays it close though, so it’s hard to say. At any rate, the person is someone with firsthand knowledge of the hidden CIA documents and what is in them. When Carlson asked this source whether the CIA was somehow directly involved in JFK’s assassination, here was their response:
“The answer is yes. I believe they were involved. It’s a whole different country from what we thought it was. It’s all fake.”
Many of us have suspected for years that the government was lying to us about the assassination. But this is the first time since 1963 that we’ve had any sort of definitive confirmation.
Some might think Carlson is making the whole thing up. Other MSM figures hate Tucker Carlson with a burning passion. They would normally go out of their way to call him a conspiracy theorist or a liar, or to demand that he give up his source. Government agencies tend to act that way as well.
But something really strange has happened since Carlson made that history-making announcement: Nothing. It’s been nothing but crickets from Carlson’s normal enemies.
Not only has no one stepped forward to launch the umpteenth ad hominem attack against Carlson personally, but no one has publicly stated that he’s lying. More importantly, no one is stating that he is wrong. Which means he’s not wrong.
Carlson knows former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who served as President Trump’s first interim CIA Director from 2017 until early 2018. The two met during Trump’s historic meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, a diplomatic trip where they both accompanied the president. If anyone Carlson knows personally would be able to talk about the classified CIA files, it would be Mike Pompeo, who is rumored to be considering a challenge to Donald Trump in the 2024 Republican primary. Carlson asked Pompeo two nights in a row to come on his show and explain what he knows. Pompeo refused both times.
Every Member of Congress in both parties should be calling for the full release of those files right now. Instead, Republicans are making noises about a stupid social media channel, and Democrats have just issued a criminal referral to the Department of Justice, demanding that Joe Biden’s Attorney General should charge Donald Trump with something – anything! – to stop him from running in 2024.
As Tucker Carlson’s source said, it’s a whole different country from what we thought it was. It’s all fake.
